Ards and North Down Borough Council seek market feedback from developers for commercial site

Ards and North Down Borough Council are seeking developers for preliminary market engagement on the development of a commercial site.

The engagement will help to establish specifications to help appoint a suitable qualified developer to bring forward a business or industrial park development for economic growth. The council-owned site at Comber Road, Newtownards hopes to attract developers for a long leasehold.

The site is located near another site along the arterial road – the 25-acre major redevelopment at the former Crepe Weavers factory by Clonrose Developments. The masterplan includes homes, a nursing and care village, hotel and retail centre. The factory was the town’s primary form of employment until its closure in 2005.
