The 2024 ‘Cultural Strategy in a Box’, providing methodology for developing cultural strategies, is due to be updated.

The Local Government Association (LGA) and Arts Council England (ACE) are seeking an experience consultant to update this guidance for strong, clear and relevant use by councils.

Drawing on good practice examples across England, the ‘Cultural Strategy in a Box’ is in a good place for sharing practical information but a light review is needed to ensure this remains a robust and thorough guide.

Currently, the document pre-dates changes to policy, financial situations and governance so refreshed case studies and information are needed to provide useful place-based strategies

Enquiries to participate in this tender should be submitted by 3 April 2026 before submission on 10 April 2026: app.panacea-software.com/LGA-Sourcing/eRFX-Suppliers/Open.aspx?requirementId=3de72004-8ea4-45c5-9cee-c287a289b946

The LGA also provides a digital Culture Hub, expanding on good examples and includes further guides for developing strategies.
